Iran Visa Extension
You can extend your visa based on the type of your visa in the bureau for Aliens and Foreign Immigrants Affairs. You can do it in Tehran, Mashhad, Isfahan, Shiraz, Tabriz, Rasht and Yazd. The new extended date will be issued from the date of attending in the bureau not the initial expiry date.
It is quite easy and cheap to extend your Iranian Visa.
Visitors can stay in Iran for up to 30 days, even though Iran tourist visa is valid for 3 months. However, you can extend your visa at most twice without trouble. A 30-day visa plus two extensions give you 90 days. You should apply for your Iranian visa extension at any Police Office of Foreign Aliens in major cities.
What do you need to extend your Iran Visa?
In order to have your visa extended, you should present the following documents to the office:
1. Your passport
2. A copy of your passport
3. Two passport-size photos (women with head-scarf)
4. Your current visa or e-visa document
5. Filled out visa extension form
6. Visa extension payment receipt. The cost of visa renewal is approximately 345,000 Rails which you must pay in cash at Melli Bank.
Tips for Visa Extension
1. Apply to extend your visa 1 to 3 days (not earlier) before your current visa is expired.
2. For Women, the photo should be with hijab (scarf).

Tehran: It is possible to extend your Iranian Visa in Tehran from two immigration offices. One of them is located in Dr. Fatemi Junction, towards Vali-e Asr Avenue and the other is located near Sepah square. Isfahan: You can easily extend your Iranian visa in Isfahan from the immigration office near Azadi Sq, on Roudaki St.( Isfahan Police Office of Foreign Aliens)
Yazd: The immigration office is located near Abouzar square, Kashani St. It may take more than a day to issue your extension.
Tabriz: It is not the best place to extend your visa and we do not advise it. There have been many rejections in this city.
Note:
Offices are open from Saturday to Wednesday, from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM. it is recommended to go there early in the morning.

IRAN TOURIST VISA
Iran Visa is permission of entry which allows someone to travel to Iran and stay here for a specific period of time. This permission issues at the Embassies, Consulate Generals or Interest Bureau of I.R Iran after having authorization number from Iran Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) or, in some cases, at the borders and international airports in Iran.
There are two types of tourist visa for Iran which are applied by Travel agencies:
- Standard Tourist Visa:
According to the regulations of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Standard Iran Tourist Visa is issued for foreign nationals who are interested in traveling to Iran individually or with a group with the purpose of visiting Iran, or their friends. Standard Iran Visa is issued for a maximum stay of 30 days with option of Extensions in Iran. Iran Visa remains valid for a period of 3 months from the date of issue.
The standard tourist visa procedure includes uploading the required documents and filling in Iran visa application form.
You will receive the visa form reference code after filling in the visa formalities form.
After completing your Iran visa request by paying the service fee (20 € ), you will have the visa confirmation code in a maximum delay of 5 working days (Thursdays are half day-off, Fridays are weekend in Iran,( it should be mentioned that Sunday to Wednesday are considered as working days of MFA. ), after being processed by the officials, in your email.
You can collect your Iran visa after paying the visa fee, at one of Iranian embassies or consulates before your planned departure to Iran or at the entry airports.

2- Iran Visa On Arrival (VOA)
You can get this Iran Visa On Arrival if you have the complete documents at the entry airports in Iran.
The visa would be issued for a maximum staying of 30 days with
3-month validity (extendable for another 15 days).
For visa on arrival, you have to pay the fee in cash at the airport to get your visa.
Required documents to apply Iran visa in the international airports are as follows:
